Between lockdowns I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Brown at his home on a couple of occasions in relation to the Trevillion West Bromwich Albion Goal Scoring Legends print. Tony had done Mementos Memorabilia the huge honour of hand signing the three hundred limited edition Trevillion prints and this gave me a great opportunity to speak to my boyhood idle about football old and new and surprisingly the Amazon Firestick. Tony Bomber Brown is Mr Albion after joining West Bromwich Albion as a youth in 1961 he signed professional forms in 1963. Tony went on to play 720 competitive games for the Albion scoring 279 goals. This week, Mementos Memorabilia were honoured to present Super Bob Taylor with his West Bromwich Albion Goal Scoring Legends limited edition print, by artist Paul Trevillion. Bob Taylor played Centre Forward for West Bromwich Albion between 1992 and 2003. He is remembered for breathing new life into the Albion and successfully delivering the team back to the Premier League in 2002. What a fantastic day was had by all as the ACE Midland Legends played against a Walsall Phoenix 11 to celebrate their 120th anniversary of being involved in grass roots football. On a hot sunny bank holiday the public turned out in numbers to support the event and were not disappointed with Phoenix's running out 3-2 winners, There was also a party atmosphere as people enjoyed food and drink supported by live music, bouncy castles and stalls. Kelly, is a former Republic of Ireland international footballer, who now works as a coach. This weekend sees the return of the Formula 1, with the Grand Prix taking place in Australia. The Australian Grand Prix has 58 laps, and a circuit length of 5.303km. Great Britain's Lewis Hamilton actually started this Australian race in 2016 on pole position and finished in second place losing out again to Rosberg by 8.060 seconds. Mementos Memorabilia and the HELP Appeal have formed a wonderful working partnership over the last six months. It has led to Mementos announcing that 5% of any profit made from sales golf memorabilia will be donated to the HELP Appeal. H.E.L.P (the Helicopter Emergency Landing Pad Appeal) covers the whole of England. The County Air Ambulance Trust is entirely funded by charitable support and contributions which greatly assist in providing new helipads at major trauma hospitals and much needed repairs and updating existing landing pads, including installation of lighting to assist night flying.
