The CG5 Golf Day and Gala Dinner

Following the success of last years' CG5 Golf Day and Gala Dinner, and the fantastic feedback we received after the event (with guests including Golf Pro and Trick Shot Specialist Ady Wheatcroft, Comedian Pete Emmet, X Factor Singer Nik Mager and Inspirational Speaker Ben McBean) we are excited to announce that they are going to do it all again this year - on the 15th July at Bank House Hotel, Spa and Golf Club.

Clearly, they have a tough act to follow, speak to anybody who came last year and they will tell you - it was a great day and night!

But at CG5, they are confident they can do it again - and maybe even better it (if that is possible!).

THIS YEAR'S LINEUP
They're delighted to confirm Ady Wheatcroft; the trick shot specialist, will be back to support them, they are looking forward to seeing what tricks he has up his sleeves this year!

The guest speaker this year is none other than - Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards, the athlete who captured the hearts of a nation, and is a favourite sporting memory for many who grew up in the 1980's as one of the Country's most popular underdogs.

CG5 are hugely fortunate to have secured Eddie as the special guest speaker for the night. With the movie of his life story 'Eddie The Eagle', starring Hugh "The Wolverine" Jackman and the legend, Christopher Walken, having just recently premiered, demand for personal appearances is high!

His story is a fantastic one. Starting with nothing more than a child's dream and a determination to represent his country, faced with nothing but ridicule and adversity along the way - people laughing at the idea, lack of funding, people saying he wasn't not good enough, old fashioned and unsupportive governing bodies and so on and so on.........Eddie prevailed against all the odds!

These are stories we hear time and time again, many of which we are sure CG5 awardees can resonate with, but Eddie is living proof that, against the odds, it can be done. With dedication and perseverance dreams can be realised, we are delighted to welcome Eddie to share his journey with us.
