Tony Bomber Brown Goal Scoring Legend

Tony Bomber Brown Goal Scoring Legend

Mementos Memorabilia Ltd

Between lockdowns I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Brown at his home on a couple of occasions in relation to the Trevillion West Bromwich Albion Goal Scoring Legends print. Tony had done Mementos Memorabilia the huge honour of hand signing the three hundred limited edition Trevillion prints and this gave me a great opportunity to speak to my boyhood idle about football old and new and surprisingly the Amazon Firestick.

Tony Bomber Brown is Mr Albion after joining West Bromwich Albion as a youth in 1961 he signed professional forms in 1963. Tony went on to play 720 competitive games for the Albion scoring 279 goals. Both the number of appearances and the number of goals scored are club records. In Tony's early years at the club the team had a reputation of a good cup side and Tony was part of the teams that won the League Cup in 1966 and the FA Cup in 1968. The side also recorded runners up positions in the League Cup in 1967 and 1970. Tony only received one England Full International Cap which he earned in the 1970/71 season Home Internationals after winning the Leagues leading goal scorer award. Mementos were honoured to recently reframe Tony's cap via our framing partnership with Creative Framing. Tony's first team career ended at the Hawthorns in the summer of 1980 a professional playing career spanning some 17 years and providing some very special and important goals for the club

Tony has been honoured with a Statue of himself outside the Hawthorns East Stand and in celebration of Tony's club record goal scoring achievements for West Bromwich Albion, Mementos Memorabilia presented Tony with limited edition print number 279/300 of the Paul Trevillion artwork, which Mementos have commissioned to celebrate five of West Bromwich Albion's Goal Scoring Legends.

Paul Trevillion's West Bromwich Albion Goal Scoring Legends was commissioned by Mementos Memorabilia to celebrate living supporters goal scoring heroes. In creating this piece of art, Paul Trevillion and Mementos Memorabilia want to encourage supporters to relive the memories of watching Albion's greatest goals, like those scored by Bomber, and to share the memories of these iconic moments with the younger generations of fans, ensuring the history of our brilliant club is passed on.

The limited edition print has been hand signed by Super Bob Taylor, Tony Bomber Brown and world renowned artist Paul Trevillion, 'the Pele of Sporting Art'. There are just 300 prints available worldwide and every purchase made helps Mementos Memorabilia to donate prints for fundraising activities to The Astle Foundation, The Albion Foundation, The Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust and the Former Players Association. This will help these important charities to raise much needed funds, after a very difficult year for charities due to the Covid-19 crisis.

For just £250 you can purchase your own hand signed limited edition print, including professional framing by West Bromwich Albion's preferred framing supplier, a certificate of authenticity and UK delivery.
